Unibet online sportsbook welcome bonus for new customers is a two-fold bonus: a $40 free bet offer plus a risk-free bet up to $1,000. When creating your account, select "New Player Offer: $40 in Free Bets & $1,000 Risk Free Bet." No deposit is required to receive the $40 in free bets. Once you make a deposit, your first sports wager after deposit is eligible for the risk-free reward. Your initial bet must be at least $10 and on odds -300 or higher. Should your bet lose, Unibet will credit your account with free bets equaling the amount you wagered. The bonus money has just a 1x wagering requirement, and you'll have 30 days to fulfill those before any winnings from the bonus funds are eligible for withdrawal. No Unibet sportsbook bonus code or promo code is required to get this welcome bonus.
In addition to the new-customer promotional offer, Unibet has other ongoing and rotational promotions to new and existing customers across a multitude of sports depending upon the season. Check out our Unibet promo page for more! The Promotions tab is where customers can find special daily offers, which is a nice, centralized feature Unibet provides. Among the offers we found beyond the sign-up bonus were a $25 refer a friend bonus offer; a "level up booster" featuring up to a 50% parlay boost as often as a player wants; and a "no-brainer boost," such as +100 odds on whether the Capitals get a shot on goal (max stake of $25 at +100 odds).
Unibet was established in 1997 and has been a large operator in the European market before transitioning to operate in the United States. It's an experienced brand that began its U.S. operation in New Jersey and quickly went into action in Pennsylvania, Indiana and now Virginia. Unibet is partnered with Kindred Group, formerly Unibet Group PLC, an online gambling operator that houses nine brands. Unibet is licensed and regulated in VA by the Virginia Lottery.
There is an extensive selection of sports markets to choose from across American sports and international markets. Unibet breaks down its markets into two sections: "Popular" and "Sports." Popular listings typically encompass NBA, MLB, NHL, NFL and Champions League. This list changes as sports seasons do. The "Sports" list has every league Unibet carries, including international markets for basketball, baseball, hockey, soccer, boxing, cricket, cycling, darts, golf, tennis, UFC/MMA and motorsports.
There are numerous betting options for D.C.’s major professional sports teams that include game lines, player props and futures bets. The state, however, prohibits betting on any games that involve its collegiate teams. Live betting and player prop bets also are prohibited across all collegiate games, not just ones involving VA schools.
Unibet's sports betting options include all the main staples such as moneylines, point spreads and totals along with a list of alternate choices for these. Player and game props also are included, except for collegiate player or game props. Customers are given the option to build teasers for sports that apply.
Straight Bets: A single bet on a moneyline, point spread or game total. For example: In the L.A. Lakers vs. Washington Wizards game a Unibet customer could wager on the Wizards +3 points as a point-spread bet. That means the Wizards could lose the game so long as it's by less than three points, or win the game, thus covering the point spread. Game total is a bet on the combined total points scored by the Wizards and Lakers. A moneyline bet is picking a winner regardless of the spread.
Total Lines: Also called "game totals," "totals" or "O/U" (over/under). This is a bet over or under the total points scored in a game, like the last example above. Baseball and hockey also offer this betting option, but appropriately call it "total runs" and "total goals," respectively.
Moneylines: No point spread. Example: Washington Nationals (-150) vs. Atlanta Braves (+140). The "-150" and "+140" are the moneylines associated with each team. To win $100 on the favored Nationals, bet $150. A $100 bet on the underdog Braves would profit $140. With moneylines, the team that is the "minus," as in Nationals -150, is the favorite.
Parlay Bets: Combining more than one bet. Instead of placing a $100 bet on the Nationals, Capitals, Wizards and Washington Football Team all to win, which would cost you $400, you can combine all four at a much lower price, as in $5 or so. The catch with parlays is every one of your wagers must win to win your parlay. Also, the more teams you add to a parlay the more money you'll win. You also increase your risk since there are more bets, which is why the payout is higher.
Teaser Bets: Allow you to change the point spread on a game. If the WFT is favored by seven points you can "tease" the point spread to a more favorable number. So, instead of betting the WFT to cover seven points now, after you altered the line, they must win only by one point. This example is a six-point teaser. Your payout will be significantly lower, of course.
Futures Bets: A bet on a future outcome, like Washington to win the Super Bowl or Nationals to win the World Series. Futures bets also include players, like who will win MVP of a league.
Prop Bets: Shorthand for proposition bet, where you wager on a specific outcome that's not tied to the game result. These can be player or game props, like if a pitcher will record over/under a certain number of strikeouts or if the longest field goal made in an NFL game will be over/under a certain number of yards.
Industry leading online sportsbooks offer their customers engaging and beneficial features that expand the variety of their product beyond just being a source for traditional bets like point spreads and moneylines. Unibet is well established and respected since its inception in 1997 and has evolved to deliver on this. Unibet also is one of the easier sportsbooks to use by presenting an organized and user-friendly platform with great features, such as:
Provides live updates on game lines that gives bettors the opportunity to wager as games are in progress. Live-betting professional sports is allowed in Virginia but not on collegiate sports.
Customers can "cash out" their wager before the bet concludes, which allows for more flexibility instead of being tied to a bet until the given game is over. You can grab a little profit or mitigate a loss. Not every bet is eligible for this feature.
"Boosts" the odds on a given bet. For example, if the player prop "Russell Westbrook to record a triple double" was +125, Unibet will boost the odds of this happening to, say, +200, giving its players a better payoff. Unibet will designate its odds boosts found under the appropriately named "Odds Boost" tab on the homepage.
Unibet has premade same-game parlays. It's a fun option to have, but some competitors give bettors the freedom to create their own same-game parlays. Unibet does not.

On the desktop version of Unibet sportsbook in Virginia, the sports options are shown on the left with the available games shown in the middle of the screen. There is no lag time when navigating among pages, which is necessary for timely bets. The bet slip populates effectively.
The promotions tab is prominent near the top-left corner of the screen, and "Help & Info" is easily found at the top right. Overall, it’s a positive experience for customers, though we feel there is some dead space on the screen from how Unibet spaces out its interface. Tightening this could make the market options more appealing.
The Unibet sportsbook app interface is a similar layout to that on desktop. It loads fast and timely for live bets and any other wagers you are selecting. The mobile app is available on iOS and Android devices. Search "Unibet VA sports betting" and download the Virginia version, since Unibet has individual apps for each state in which it operates (it’s different for New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Indiana, etc.).
The mobile app lays out specific sports markets across the top of the screen, designated with icons such as a basketball, a baseball, etc. Below is a horizontal, scrollable list of offerings and Unibet sportsbook promotions. The rest of the layout displays odds for the sports market you've selected. The menu tab in the top-left corner houses tabs for promotions, getting started and help and info. It also has links to Responsible Gaming and "About Us."
On the web-based sportsbook platform for Unibet, there is less scrolling since there is more screen space for navigation compared to the mobile app. Unibet's desktop platform is organized for easy visibility and access to whatever you're looking for.
Since Unibet requires personal and financial information to create and fund your account, the operator employs advanced encryption and security technologies to ensure your safety while using the product. Customers also can help in protection by setting a strong password with a combination of upper- and lower-case letters along with numbers and characters. It's YOUR account, so keep it private by not sharing login information.
To access all that Unibet sportsbook offers on this front, click the "Responsible Gaming" icon. This directs customers to several articles and resources they can use for reference. Customers also can set limits on deposits and time on the site in addition to placing themselves on a self-exclusion list if they are concerned about their gambling. On the Responsible Gaming page there is national and Virginia-specific resources listed with phone numbers and email addresses for gambling assistance.
Unibet provides a "Help & Info" tab on its desktop and mobile app. This tab will take customers to an extensive list of FAQs regarding all facets of the online sportsbook. The operator also provides customer service from 8 a.m.-11 p.m. ET at 1-844-996-2316. Customers can email Unibet at email@example.com and there is a live-chat button entitled "Chat" to help with problems as well. Having an issue figuring out the Unibet promo code? Have a question on your deposit bonus? We found the customer service at Unibet extremely responsive and helpful.
Unibet, a staple in the European betting market for years, is expanding its footprint in the United States, with Virginia among the latest to welcome its online sportsbook. Unibet has a long list of promotions sure to appeal to sports bettors, and the low, 1x wagering requirements on its signup bonus offer adds value to the Unibet sportsbook experience.
The interface is smooth and easy to navigate, both on the web and on the sportsbook app, but there is excess open space on the screen that can be used to make betting options more appealing to the eyes. All told, the Unibet online sportsbook has shown why it's so popular to both new players and old.
One area of improvement is the boost offerings. Odds boosts are popular and alluring for customers, and since Unibet delivers on a multitude of other facets for an online sportsbook, it'd be well-served to improve this area. It does a good job of localizing boosts in relation to Virginia; however, more boost options may prove beneficial.
