One of BetRivers’ best and most exciting features is its welcome bonus of a 100% deposit match up to $250. Users must take advantage of deposit match bonus upon signing up for the first time and must bet with those funds within 48 hours, which is not tough to do. One perk of BetRivers is that, as opposed to other sportsbooks that have more stringent rules on dollar matching, deposit matching has just a 1x wagering requirement, meaning any winning bets placed using that $250 in bonus funds can be withdrawn once the entire $250 has been bet. Make sure to use the BetRivers promo code when signing up!

Depositing with BetRivers is simple. Sports bettors have the option of depositing funds ($10 minimum deposit) using a debit card, online banking option, PayPal or a BetRivers Play+ branded card. Soon they’ll accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover and Cash-at-Cage options when casinos are built in Virginia.
The process is easy, with the site’s Cashier Page and Help Center answering all questions bettors may have should they have issues with the straightforward process. There’s also a dropdown menu on each user’s profile page with a spot to deposit additional funds after their initial sign-up. Bettors can use responsible gaming tools available on the BetRivers sportsbook app to set daily, weekly or monthly deposit limits should they desire.
Online withdrawals take anywhere from 3-5 days. That process is also easy, with bettors able to withdraw through online banking methods, a check by mail, or their BetRivers Play+ card. Like other major sites, Player Support and chat options are available if users have questions about how to withdraw their money. Funds are able to be withdrawn at any time.
Pick a sport, any sport. There is a betting option for just about everyone at BetRivers Virginia. In addition to major sports such as professional and college football, baseball, basketball, hockey, soccer, and golf, bettors have the option to gamble on sports that include UFC, MMA, boxing and even darts. Keep in mind, though, that it is not legal in Virginia to bet on in-state colleges such as Virginia Tech or the University of Virginia, and no prop bets or live betting is allowed on any college sports.
BetRivers also makes it easy for sports bettors to find action by moving up the “most popular” betting sports at the time on the left rail of the home page. That also includes your bet history, sports that are streaming live, house specials and any sports that have BetRivers bonuses attached to them.
Whether you’re betting on the Washington Football Team, Nationals, Capitals, Wizards or want to spice it up with a wager on a non-core sport, BetRivers online sportsbook has you covered.
As one of the premier U.S. online sports betting sites, BetRivers has all the standard betting options for games. These include moneylines, point totals, spreads and alternate spreads, player and team props, exact scores, winning margins, parlays, round robins and teasers.
But there’s much more to BetRivers Virginia than just that. It offers 20% profit boosts on in-game bets on Tuesdays, a $100,000 Pick ‘Em contest during the NFL season that hands out both weekly and season-long prizes, and additional parlay perks that offer rewards such as future free bets.
Bettors love options, and sportsbooks have begun to give it to them. There’s far more to sportsbooks, BetRivers included, than simply placing a single bet before the game with standard -105 to -120 odds. Here’s some of the features BetRivers online sportsbook offers up, including a great odds boost program,
Don’t just place your bet and close your BetRivers app. Like many of the major sportsbooks, it offers live betting (or in-play) odds on just about all in-game wagers. Live spreads, live totals and live moneylines are available in real time with a seamless-to-use experience.
Feeling good about your bet but you’re nervous about a potential backdoor cover that results in a loss? If your bet losing and has no real chance of winning and you want to minimize the damage? Good news, as BetRivers has implemented a cash-out option on select bets at certain times that allows for bettors to cash out while a bet is still in play. It won’t always be available, but the cash-out total updates in real time, so bettors will want to pay attention as their games play out.
Like many of the major sportsbooks, BetRivers also provides odds boost on specific games. These include a 20% profit boost on basketball games on Mondays, a 20% profit boost on Tuesdays in the NHL, and other daily odds boosts on select “games of the week “referred to as House Specials. These odds boosts can be used on point spreads, moneylines, totals and even parlays, depending on the day. BetRivers also has a Tuesday special that boosts in-game bets’ profits by 20%.
One downside to BetRivers is that users cannot create their own same-game parlays like they can on other sites. BetRivers does offer their own specials on same-game parlays, but they’re offered sparingly.
BetRivers’ website has plenty to offer in an easy-to-navigate interface. Its banner includes quick links to current promotions, reward statuses and a profile with all your information in one spot. All sports are listed on the left side of the screen, with BetRivers boosting live sports and sports with promotions and bonuses attached to them up to the top of that rail.
Betslips populate on the right side of the screen, and multiple bets can be chosen to create parlays. Within a specific game, bettors have the ability to see statistics from a matchup’s previous five games, a nice touch that provides some context and information before placing a bet.
BetRivers’ overall user experience does take some getting used to. At times, the website can feel loud and overwhelming. With sports on the left, scrolling user victories and streaks on the right, and live and upcoming games in the middle, there’s a lot going on. It certainly takes more time getting used to than some of its competitors. Some users have experienced some glitching and slow loading times, which can be important when placing a bet right before a game begins or when trying to place an in-game wager. However, we did not encounter those issues when reviewing the site.
The BetRivers sportsbook app is available for both IOS and Android. Users will need to have a Geolocator app installed for proof of location in order to activate their account and make wagers. The BetRivers app has its strengths and weaknesses, and overall has led to mixed reviews. Though it’s easy to navigate when working properly, users have reported some issues with lag, making it tougher to bet on live events. Like the website, the app’s interface can feel busy at times, but it presents all the same betting options as the website.
It’s easy for new players to join BetRivers in VA.
All real money wagers (non-bonuses or rewards) will earn you Loyalty Level Points and Bonus Store Points called iRush Rewards. The more money wagered, the more Loyalty Level Points bettors can earn. There are 10 tiers to the iRush Rewards, with each tier unlocking more access with more perks. Users can also easily see how much money they have in their Bonus Bank, which is located directly in their profile under their account balance.
BetRivers takes a serious stance on responsible gambling. In addition to multiple spots on the home page supporting such gambling and a “Responsible Gaming” tab on each profile’s dropdown menu, BetRivers also have seven different links on the Help Center page, including email and chat support as well as a phone number for those in need of help with a potential gambling problem. Other links include steps for users to take to check and set their gaming limits, including enabling a “cooldown” period that can restrict access for 3 to 30 days. Live chat support is available daily from 9:30 a.m. to 2 a.m. ET.
BetRivers has just about everything bettors in Virginia could ask for. From the Super Bowl to darts, there’s something for everyone 365 days a year. The sign-up bonus offer is one of the best we’ve come across, and though daily specials aren’t as strong as other competitors, they’re still widely available. Statistics from previous matchups is a nice addition that not all sportsbooks provide, helping users make more informed decisions when placing their bets, and the odds boosts are terrific, too.
BetRivers is not difficult to use, but the user interface is busier than other sportsbooks and the mobile app still has some kinks to work out. It’s glitchy at times, which can be difficult for bettors to use when placing live, in-game bets. As mentioned, there aren’t as many daily specials as some of their competitors as well. Still, there’s something for everyone and the sportsbook isn’t missing anything when it comes to the necessities for users to have a complete gambling experience.
